Newsflash, comedians: No one is obligated to find you funny

Men are funny sometimes. And I don’t mean when they’re even intentionally trying to be funny, but specifically, when, sitting on their throne of privilege and entitlement, try to tell a a group of underprivileged and disadvantaged people how they should or shouldn’t feel about an issue that by and large affects only that group. Like rape. You can’t laugh at a rape joke because you understand in a visceral sense what that threat feels like? You’re so sensitive, get a sense of humor, women! Ha ha. Ha ha. Ha. Continue reading
